GIO Cup- Round One

The GIO Cup kicked off with Keebra facing the South Brisbane based School, Marsden, in what was an anticipated rematch of the 2014 Quarter Final.

Keebra went into the game with a number of students working to find their footing and form new combinations.  While the final result, a Keebra win and a scoreline of 28-16 was pleasing, it indicated to the coaching staff where more work needed to be put in on the training paddock.

The Open B’s showcased a dominant structured display, with a 54-4 victory.  With the depth in this team that fielded a number of grade ten players, the future of the program certainly looks bright.

The 15 A’s continued where they left off last season and posted a 70-0 thrashing of their Marsden counterparts.

In round two, Keebra returns to Southport Tigers against Coombabah State High School.
