Keebra Park SHS Sports Specialisation ‘Rugby League’
Affiliated with ‘Wests Tigers NRL Club’

Application Form for Wests Tigers NRL Club 2006 Rugby League Educational Scholarship in the Keebra Park Rugby League Program on the Gold Coast.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified players who actively seek an NRL career.

Criteria:

1. Age: 16/17/18yrs in 2006.

2. Commitment to Discipline.

3. Commitment to Hard Work.

Applications are to include:

1. Video Tape (if available).

2. Two references to verify your application.

3. A written application of approx 250 words indicating a very high level of success in your chosen field of Rugby League.

4. Club and School Representative Rugby League history.

5. Academic performance over the last 2 years.

6. Plans and commitment in your chosen area of rugby league and to your academic future.

7. Achievements described in your application must be supported by copies of reports and certificates, eg.Semester 1, 2005 report, Player awards.

8. Applications close Wednesday , September 1st, 2005.

9. Applicants must be available to Trial for final assessment and selection. These Trials will be conducted in early October.

10. Successful applicants will be notified in writing by Monday, November 1st, 2005.

11. Selection Panel decision will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.

12. Successful applicants will incur a minimal boarding expense.

Please note - Applications may be lodged by overseas, interstate and intrastate players.

OPTIONS FOR POTENTIAL SPORTS SPECIALISATION STUDENTS IN 2005

Our Sports Specialisation Subject, ‘Rugby League’ is available to any player who wishes to improve their skills and at the same time play in the highest level schoolboy competitions available.

Options that are available to players from areas outside the Gold Coast that you might like to consider are:

1. Boarding with relatives or friends already living on the Gold Coast.

2. Boarding in a ‘Home Stay’ on the Gold Coast.

Our staff can assist you with finding a ‘Home Stay’ family to board with. If you would like more information on ‘Home Stays’ please phone 0755092555 and ask for the Rugby League Co-ordinator.

You could be eligible for Government Assistance if you are living away from home. Check with your nearest Centrelink Office for details
