Although we often hear of the exploits of the Keebra
teams in the Broncos Competitions and the Arrive Alive
Cup, it was great to see the boys who play in the local
schoolboy competition do so well this week.
In the 15'Bs the Keebra team were well lead by Harley
to a convincing win against Coombabah A's (22-4). Straight
from the off the boys stuck to their basic but effective
game plan of ball security in their own half and it
paid dividends when after a safe exit set they were
able to score on their very next set. With a successful
conversion the score was 6-0 after 5 minutes.
The second half saw Keebra really take the game to Coombabah
and centre Tace was unstoppable in open play and went
over for consecutive tries. There were some good signs
ahead of the cross over finals to be played next Wednesday
but also some areas of play that will be worked on during
training sessions this week.
A special mention to Eden Tofoa who was man of the match
and Daniel Bill Williams who made his first start at
centre.
