"Arrive Alive Cup"

The Arrive Alive Cup trophy cabinet will be Fallow at Farrer Agricultural College this year after Keebra Park ploughed past them and into the National Finals. With a scoreline of 22-0 Keebra were rarely troubled by the "Boys from the Bush" but this was due, not to lack of efoort but rather to some outstanding Keebra defence that repelled wave after wave of attack until the Tamworth team didnt really have any options left.

Ben Teo opened the scoring off the first set of six and this platform was added to by Jimmy Poland who jinxed and hopped his way over the line just before the half time siren. With Matthew Parata converting these two tries it was 12-0 at half time.

The second half saw some great defensive work by Keebra and this pressure led to a line break by Herman Retzlaff who forced his way to the Farrer 20 meter line with a huge run. Captain Matt Francis was ableto use this momentum as he crossed the line and the score became 16-0. Once again to their credit, Farrer came back fighting and were held out again and again. Five-Eighth, Dane Macdonald scored a deserved try in the corner after soem strong work up the middel by Bodene Thompson making the full time score 22-0.

After the game there was an impromtu rehabilitation session that consisted of 18 laps of the airport looking for the group check in lounge..... but seriously the boys were well disciplined and a credit to the school through out the trip and shoed great maturity and composure in getting the job done.well done boys and see you in the final.

National Final Hopes.
