Well the 2007 season is just about to start and while
this years footballers are yet to make there mark there
have been some pleasing results with regard to some
past graduates.
2003 graduate Benjii Marshall pulled up well from the
recent Tigers trial against Canberra at Souths Logan
and is set to sizzle in 07.
2004 graduate Sam Moa and 2006 graduate Matt Parata
also had pleasing games on the same day playing for
Tigers Premier League against the Souths Logan Qld Cup
side. Both have performed consistently throughout the
opening trial series.
2005 Graduate and Peter Sterling medal winner Ben Teo
is making a fine recovery from injury and by all accounts
is training the house down while 2006 graduates Damon
Harth and Kingi Akoula are also performing well in Flegg
and look likely to breakthrough into higher grades in
the coming season. The Hermanator is also making great
leaps forward in regards to fitness and skill level
and could also be one to watch.
2005 Old Boy Rangi Chase is now at St. George and Greg
Eastwood has never looked as fit as he did playing for
the Broncos in the World Club Challenge. ( Well not
since he was at Keebra anyhow)
Current student Robert Lui (pictured) has also been
accepted into the AIS and will be featured in an upcoming
update.
So while this year has yet to be played out there are
some interesting developments with our ex grads and
that is again a positive diagnostic guage of the benefits
of the program.
So who knows what will happen in 2007......will we see
the Arrive Alive Cup in the foyer?.......will Mr Hart
continue his world record breaking unbeaten run as a
coach? (unbeaten since 2001, the longest run since records
began)..........will the HPE staff continue as school
swimming carnival relay champions? (featuring Mr Woolf,
Mt Isa's answer to the Thorpeedo)....so many questions
unanswered ..well we will just have to wait and see.
