Well its Queensland under 17 and under 19 selection time again and its great to have three current and one Ex Keebra Park students in line for a place in these two squads. While Greg and Shane Eastwood and Matt Francis will contest for positions in the nineteens, Anthony “Stuey” Magill will be pulling on the boots for the seventeens at Redcliffe Oval on May 29th. Magill known for his hard running and solid tackling is in with a great opportunity of securing a place and has been training well in preparation. Pete Stevens of the Keebra coaching staff is confident the Anthony will go well in this endeavour.

He always puts in a hundred percent and he is running great line.” He said. “I’m sure that he will show well and I wish him all the best” he added.

For Matty Francis it will be a strange trial as he has been selected in the North Queensland side set to play his usual Southern Queensland team mates. While he knows the game of most of his mates he realises that it will be a good test against his peers.

I’m looking forward to playing against the boys as it will be a good indicator as to how I am travelling against my peers” he said.

The school wishes all the boys the best of luck and watch this space for more news on these upcoming trials.
