Keebra Park are out of the running for the National
schoolboy Championship after going down to Wavell State
High in the Southern Queensland Final of the Arrive
Alive Cup.
Wavell ran out winners 28-14 after being behind until
the last ten minutes of play. Keebra led 14-10 at half
time with tries to Stuart Byrne, Joe Harris and Shane
Eastwood.
Ultimately it was a contentious try that eventually
swung the game in Wavell's favour with what seemed to
all present to be a dropped ball over the line by Wavell's
Josh Tatupu. However the argument became moot when they
Brisbane based team scored twice more in the last five
minutes of play.
