The season proper started this week with all grades competing in various competitions.
The Struddies had a 44-0 result against a gallant Forest Lakes side and coach Nathan Small was very pleased with the effort from his boys.
"We have been putting a lot of effort in at training and that came to the fore today. We completed our sets and won the ruck which eventually gave us the ascendancy and a good win"." He added.
The 15's were defeated by Pine Rivers after a depleted side travelled to Redland Bay.
The final score of 12-10 was not a bad result and Mr Gould was happy with the way the boys who filled in stood up on the day.
"We lost ten boys to various circumstances today, but i was more than happy to see some of the others get a run and show that they are worthy replacements. Toby Leschke and Gabbi Fattal deserve a special mention for their performances." He added.
The Open A were disappointed after their opposition forfeited the game and are looking forward to getting out and showing what they can do.
The 13's demolished Marsden SHS running in 52 points and the 14's also had the wood on the Marsden 14's.
In local matches the 15 B's beat Palm Beach Currumbin 20-18 and are still unbeaten in their competition.
