Well as the season starts to gain momentum there as been a great buzz around the school with all teams looking good as they head into the business part of the competitions.
The junior sides have recorded some good wins and this week see themselves up against Coombabah at Southport Tigers.
The Open A's kicked off their campaign with a solid 42-0 win over the fancied Marsden outfit and the Under 15's recorded a great victory against Marsdens 15's. There was a good crowd at the Logan Brothers ground and all present witnessed a fine encounter.
Last weekend (April 10th) saw a combined Opens-Struddys side take on the Northern Rivers Group 18 Representative team and get away with a 20-18 result after a slow sluggish start that saw them 18-0 down in the first half. Well done boys a good comeback and no excuses.
This week has seen the action shift to the hybrid Union/League training that has been going on for 18 months or so now and the upcoming clash with St. Augustines in Sydney. I will keep you posted on that one. As soon as I recieve some pictures of all the action i will forward them on, so watch this space.
