"Arrive Alive Cup"

In a great display of individual effort Big Second Rower has taken out the 2005 Peter Stirling Medal for being the player of the year in this years Arrive Alive Cup.

After stellar performances throughout the early stages of the competition and with man of the match displays in the finals series, Ben thoroughly deserved this accolade.

Previous medal winners have been, Ben Elias, Paul Langmack, Greg Alexander, Nathan Cayless and Jason Taylor which is a fine indication of the possible futures for Ben.

Although this medal was a high point for Ben there was some dissapointment for the boys as they lost the final of the Arrive Alive Cup to Endeavour Sports High by 20-10 . The boys did themselves proud to reach this final beating the more favoured Sydney school Farre in the semi. Whilst they went into half time with a lead of 10-6 they eventually fell behind and ran out of time in hauling back the deficit.

There were great positives from this game and series, one of which is an indication that the program is delivering what it set out to deliver and will only go on to produce more quality players and rounded individuals. Well done boys on a successful year and heres looking forward to the next one.

Good luck to the boys who are going down to Flegg at the Tigers at the end of the year and im sure you will all keep in touch and we will see you in the future.

2005 Peter Stirling Medal winner, Ben Teo.
